Salerno is well connected and reaching it is simple, whether you come from Italy or abroad, you have many options:
By train, thanks to the high-speed train you can reach Salerno Centrale station, located in the heart of the city, a few steps from the seafront and the historic center. It goes without saying that it is always better to book high-speed trains in advance to save money and find the best rates!
By plane, there are two airports: Naples-Capodichino (NAP) and Salerno-Costa d’Amalfi (QSR).
If you decide to arrive by car, take a look at the parking lots and the ZTL in the historic center.
But if I had to say the best way to reach Salerno is definitely by ship or ferry, for a spectacular arrival by sea!
In fact, Salerno has an important tourist port, with ferries and hydrofoils to the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Ischia and Procida, Sicily and Sardinia.
Salerno is easy to reach, but hard to forget. Are you ready to go?
